These are 5.25 or 5-1/4's in size if I remember correctly!
I bought these speakers to go in my dad's 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix since the original ones had blown, quit working or the connections were terrible but these made a huge difference in the way the radio sounds. Once again, you can hear the songs all in the car rather than having to turn the volume way up to hear the radio and then not be able to hear anything else!
Left this out of my other reviews but these speakers are for the front and will fit the doors fine with no issues. The 6x9's I bought and reviewed are for the rear! Make sure you are ready to solder the connections when you install these so that you will have a perfect connection. Also, go online and find you a wiring diagram for your car so that you will know what is the + and - color cable your car uses from the factory..
I have been having this amp for bout 8 or 9 months now and i am very satisfied with the quality and craft of this machine...it never gets hot all the buttons and connections work good....its a good durable amp that i would purchase again...only use 8 ga power/ground for connections
BalasHapusHad my doubts about this product, but to my surprise this amp works very well powering 4 6 1/2 door speakers. I have a 12 in cvx and the power is more than enough if u want a full sounding system.

BalasHapusI used this for the wall and door speakers in my New Beetle and i must say this is a very good sounding amp. Very very clean signal and has enough power to blow almost any speaker if you aren't careful. I am very happy with this amp and will buy SSL for amps from here on out.
BalasHapusYou people are always talking sh@t about brands like soundstorm. I bought this amp with an ssl eq and it's the best sound I've ever had in my car. This amp works great for your mids. It doesn't get hot either, just warm. I ran it for 5 hours to put it to the test and and it played like a champ. I recommend this to anyone. This amp is around $200.00 less than kicker, jl, alpine, infinity, rockford, ext, and it plays just as good. I also have a soundstorm head unit and all my mids are soundstorm. In my opinion soundstorm makes great affordable products.
BalasHapusThis lil guy did just what i wanted it to do, I admit i think the subwoofer could handled a little more power but this will def do the job, especially for the girlfriend, I ran this lil Amp full tilt for a while and she didnt even get warm, so For now this seems to be a great lil amp and I think she will be a happy addition to my car audio family.
BalasHapusI bought this after buying the 1000 watt, 2 channel version, I was so happy with the quality of it and the price that I bought this one! I have it running my mids and my tweets. It has performed exceptional. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this to anyone, it is well worth the price! I have owned higher priced, better known amps that didnt sound as good as this one! Buy with confidence!
