Vehicle: 2009 Dodge Avenger SXT w/o Boston System

First off, these speakers bump. Did my research on these and the reviews said that these were better than any comparables by far. I was a little skeptical, but went ahead and spent the 88 for the pair of them. I installed these in my rear deck in my avenger and also installed the supplied crossovers. Very easy install for anyone who can turn a screw and solder a wire. I have no amp and just the factory head unit right now and when I hook up my iPhone 4 to these speakers, they scream. They shake my rear spoiler and shake my package tray above the speakers too! I am very impressed with these speakers. My mom has a 2012 Jeep Wrangler with the premium infinity sound system with the 7 or 8 speakers whatever it has and me just upgrading these two speakers in my car blows her system away easily. The highs are great the mids good as well but the bass is good enough that I won't consider a sub. The factory head unit doesn't deliver the power that these speakers need, the stock speakers are paper and can run off it but these really do need some extra power to really shine. I will be adding an amp or an aftermarket double din head unit soon to help with this but for now these speakers have gone above and beyond what I was hoping for. I wasn't looking to put a sub in my car just wanted some 6x9's that would provide me with really good sound quality and the bass that I wanted. These do all of that.

I listen to lots of rock music along with some pop/rap music. Anything with good bass sounds fantastic with these.

Sound Quality: 8-9 (Only downside is w/factory head unit the louder you go the more distorted it gets)

Looks: 10 (love the spider look but have very dark tint so beware of thieves!)

Onkyo TX NR5008 9 2 Channel Network Receiver

Okay, before shopping for this puppy, I did a lot of magazine research, my interests being that I wanted to get something that was state-of-the-art, affordable, and would not give me a migraine when trying to set the thing up or use it.

One of the magazines gave this receiver their highest rating,in sound and features and simplicity.

List price was $ 2,800.00 or so, a bit much for my budget. When I saw it on Amazon for significantly less, (and after asking my wife, of course), I ordered it.

I am happy to report it sounds better than anything I have ever had, it has easy access to its features (meaning no long unending menu chains that kill all the fun), it supports both 7.2 set-up and Bi-amping of my main speakers. (It will also do 9.2, for those with too much money.)

I love music when it is well-reproduced, and I also love good sound-effects when watching a DVD; this machine delivers it all for a good price. I would not hesitate to order this again, I am happy with it in every way.

Oh, also this: for an incredibly capable and complex box, it really is easy to grasp and use. I would happily and honestly recommend it to anyone, and I promise I am not being compensated for this review in any way.

I bought the Belkin AirCast to wireless stream iPhone music to my car stereo. It sounds great! BMW lets you connect via bluetooth for telephone calls, but streaming audio to the stereo was a pricey extra option. Belkin offers a great solution. I'm very impressed with the strong audio signal quality. Really, you can't tell if it is wired or wireless. It sounds the same! I was initially confused that it didn't auto-connect with my iPhone after disconnecting. I thought I had to go into settings>bluetooth and connect every time I got in the car. But now I see that all you have to do is tap the Belkin and it attempts to re-connect with the same phone it was last connected to. No downside here. The other concern I had was whether the Belkin would compete with the BMW bluetooth for taking phone calls. It doesn't. Both bluetooth connections are active at the same time. It goes to the car bluetooth for the phonecalls and seamlessly transfers back to playing music on the Belkin when the call is terminated. The power supply is great. It plugs into the lighter and offers a USB connector on top for also charging your iPhone. I highly recommend this gadget!

Philips USA PH 62050 MD To Cassette Adapter

My previous Blu-Ray player was the Pioneer Elite BDP-05FD. A fine player as far as picture goes, but no 3D, no Internet capability and as slow as molasses to load and operate. I had read many praises of Oppo's players and when I got a new 3D TV I decided it was time to make the switch. I am glad I did.

The first impression on opening the box was that of elegance and care, right down to the woven polyethylene bag protecting the player itself. (Oddly, printing on the bag suggests reusing it as a shopping bag, but it is much too narrow to be useful for that!) I was also pleased to see that a hefty HDMI cable was included, something pretty much unheard of nowadays.

The player itself is nice to look at, though not super-fancy. I liked that the tray open button lights up when the player is powered on, and I was delighted at how quickly it went from power on to ready. But nothing prepared me for how quickly a BD disc started to play! Faster than many CD players I have used!

The picture quality was wonderful - the ISF technician who calibrated my set loves the Oppo players (he has a -93) and used it as the source for his test patterns. It delivered a perfect 1080p picture with full dynamic range and 4:4:4 color encoding. I then played a 3D BD (Avatar) and it was at least as immersive as in the theater, if not more so.

I'm not using the network apps on the Oppo, having a Roku box for that, but it was nice to see it there.

A big plus for the BDP-103 for me was the dual HDMI outputs. Since my A/V receiver has HDMI 1.3a only, I could not route 3D signals through it. So I ran one HDMI out to a HDMI switch and the other to the receiver for the audio. At the urging of the ISF tech, I tried using the unusual HDMI input of the Oppo, running the HDMI switch output to the Oppo input, and then Oppo to the TV, but I could not get that to work - the TV would show no signal, give an error or, more often, show me a screen of green stripes. Perhaps I'll try it again sometime later.

Oppo includes a USB wireless dongle, but I used Ethernet instead. I also used the IR input for my remote control distribution - I wish more devices had that!

Amazing sound!

JLab Bombora Over Headphones Universal

While I have only owned the Bombora Headphones for a few days, I am over the top impressed with the sound quality and fidelity they deliver. I am a music journalist and having studio quality, over the ear headphones is a necessity. I have MANY pairs of headphones from earbuds all the way up to more expensive models of over the ear models, as I am always listening to music. This popped up as a daily deal, I definitely liked the look and the reviews on the comfort and sounds were pretty alluring--they were also half off list price so I took a chance on a brand I've never heard of before. Now, only a few days later they are the only headphones I want to listen to, seriously. I've listened to albums that I have heard 1000 times before (not an exaggeration, albums I've been listening to for twenty years or more)and have heard details I have never once heard before. The detachable, non-tangling flat chord is a total bonus as the chord is always the first to go on phones put to hard use. A beautiful, amazing, functional headphone and really, for the music I listen to (rock, indie-rock, alternative, etc.) these may well be the best sounding headphones I've ever owned. Also, though noise cancellation is mentioned nowhere in the features of the headphones, these obliterate the sounds of the outside world far better than many headphones that tout that as their main feature. I'm actually quite addicted to them and have been pondering each and every title I want to revisit with this awesome sound. JLab may have found a fan for life.

I'll try and keep this short. I picked up my pill about a month ago at the exchange on base so it was about 20$ cheaper plus the 20% discount so I got mine for a steal. I went in with out any prior experiences listening to this, and let me tell you its jaw dropping. I was expecting a typical wireless speaker and was really blown away. I listen to a lot of dance/trance music through it and it holds its own. A lot of people don't mention the location they put the speaker when they listen to music, I always put mine elevated and in a corner (on top of my fridge) and it really helps radiate the sound. The bass for such a tiny speaker in impressive, the mids and highs are equally impresive. For loudness, I'll just say this. I work on airplanes and they are by no means quite, in my shop with the door open on hot days while airplanes are turning I cannot hear anything but my music. The price is high enough to give you second thoughts but let me assure you its totally worth it. I get about 6 hours out of my pill with music turned up about 80% while using bluetooth. My final words for this tiny beast are, WORTH IT!

Con
--Only one, and this may not be a con to some. The Micro USB cable that goes from the dock to the phone is pretty stiff. Had to bend it to make sure it was not putting too much tension on the MicroUSB port on the phone. Other than that... 5 Thumbs up!!

Other than that, get this thing! Best one I have seen out there. Company seems to have nice support, but I really had no reason to use it. Setup was easy, and no problems with the dock.

I have been wanting to listen to my iPod in my car for a long time. I had an FM transmitter before. Those work great in rural areas but are useless in the city (you can never find a clear channel).

This product lets me play my iPod directly through my car stereo AND it charges it! My "iPod" is actually an iPhone 3G.

The sound quality is a little strange... I haven't figured out what it is yet. It seems to have slightly different qualities than the radio. It is not bad, just different. Most people probably wouldn't notice.

Anyway.. if you are just looking for a quick and (relatively) cheap way to play an iPod through your car radio, this is a good option. It does not really provide "integration" in the sense that you cannot control the iPod through the car stereo. That was okay for me, I just wanted the music to come through my car speakers. And now it does.

The only issue I had during installation was that it said to access the iPod I needed to hit "CD" on my car stereo twice. This did nothing. However, hitting "AUX" on my car stereo gave me the iPod output. This is better in my opinion anyway, so I was glad that there was this error in the install instructions!

I installed this in a 2007 Honda Fit (actually, Best Buy installed it for $50... it was hard to get access to the back of my stereo, so I let them do it).

Pretty nice speakers! They don't give you the mini spade connectors for the tweeters but its cool. Like everyone else said, they have a break in period and I was not tickled pink at first. After a week or two of jamming they sound super clear and I love them. Have them in the front of my 1995 ford ranger supercab 4x4. I mounted the tweets in the upper corners of the door panels so the would sound nice inside and when Im getting all drunk splitting wood in the backyard They point outside of the vehicle for an outside concert. I am disappointed in my 1 year old Kenwood head unit. Kenwood I found over the years got crappy on their equilization functions so I will switch back to Pioneer this year. I find that Pioneer for the car is the way to go! As for these speakers... just get them. They are cheap and sound crystal without an amp. They even have a rubber boot coating around the magnets which is something only the Germans would do. Just an extra thing that adds to the quality.

I would definitely recommend Pioneer D series speakers. Im no audiophile, I actually stumbled upon the 6.75 inch component versions while buying a replacement door for my car from the junkyard, long story short, the front speakers were such a dramatic improvement over the craptastic sony xplodes I was using. (like i said Ive never been too into car stereos).

Anyway, the 6.75 inch D series sounded so good i had to replace the rear speakers as well. Pioneer says these are $100, (granted they arent exactly brand new models) but still for $45ish, (and about $15 that the junkyard ended up charging me for the OTHER front speaker set) my car stereo sounds amazing.

anycrap, Im no sound snob, but unless your dropping multiple hundreds of dollars on car speakers these are worth getting.

I bought this unit at my local walmart and I havr to say, it is well worth it. It was also cheaper for me to go that route then to buy on here. The color display and change of color is awesome. It sounds awesome in my car 05 dodge stratus with stock speakers. When turned up all the way the speakers distort but that's my next upgrade. Comes with a remote which I don't think is mentioned on here and also isn't android friendly but with a auxiliary cable for your phone the pandora works great and so does calling someone its like having a bluetooth stereo without the extra cost. It will play and do anything through auxiliary cable which is only a few dollars so I would suggest going that direction if you have a Droid phone. I really enjoy it and would recommend to anyone looking at this unit. I'm listening to it as I write this sitting outside of amazon.com warehouse (my job) waiting for my wife who also works for amazon :) this is her husband by the way lol

It sounds awesome in my car 05 dodge stratus with stock speakers. When turned up all the way the speakers distort but that's my next upgrade. Comes with a remote which I don't think is mentioned on here and also isn't android friendly but with a auxiliary cable for your phone the pandora works great and so does calling someone its like having a bluetooth stereo without the extra cost. It will play and do anything through auxiliary cable which is only a few dollars so I would suggest going that direction if you have a Droid phone. I really enjoy it and would recommend to anyone looking at this unit. I'm listening to it as I write this sitting outside of amazon.com warehouse (my job) waiting for my wife who also works for amazon :) this is her husband by the way lol

Speaker Upgrade

JBL GTO628 6 5 Inch 2 Way Loudspeaker

After reading many reviews on these speakers, i decided to give them a chance. I have 4 of them mounted in the doors of a chevy blazer. They are being powered with 75 watts RMS power by a jl audio e6450 amp. I was concerned that would too much for them to handle, but they sound absolutely stellar all the way up to (and beyond) volumes that would cause hearing loss. All the while without any distortion. To the couple of people wrote reviews in which you seemed unsatisfied with the bass response---- these are 6.5 inch speakers, not subwoofers. In my opinion they sound great all the way down to frequencies that a 6.5 speaker should. If you want more bass consider adding a subwoofer.

That said, anyone buying these speakers who will be using a separate amplifier should consider using dynamat. My doors vibrate when the volume is turned up and it becomes very noticable when the speakers are playing notes with the resonate frequencies of the doors. With my windows up i can stand 100 feet from the car and clearly understand the vocals of a song.....thats how loud these are -which is why my next purchase is dynamat.

In summary, these speakers are awesome! Buy them! You will be glad you did.

Essential for any fan of the quasi-classic sitcom. Gives even the most ardent fan of the show a comprehensive, step by step insider's look at the show. An Amazing Capable and Reliable Phone

HTC ONE M7 Black International

Actually, it took me over a week to really feel attached to this phone! At first I didn't want this phone and wanted the s4, but the plastic on the s4 looked tacky against the gorgeous aluminum of the One. I also wasn't sold on the ultrapixel camera, but since my phone was on it's last gasping breath of air I decided to get this phone. It also helped that my sis really wants this phone so I could always give it to her.

This phone took a little getting used to..
I have an Asus tablet that's pretty close to stock android so when I saw HTC ones android I was a little confused. For example, on my tablet I can kill tasks easily, but on the one it took me a day to figure out that I have to push the home button twice to be able to kill apps lol As u can probably tell, I'm kind of technologically challenged. Also I can't find Polaris on the phone. I can use it to view docs but I can't find the actual app on the phone. These are just the inconveniences that I had.

BUT I absolutely love the front speakers. They are so loud and music sounds so good on it. It's so smart because sometimes you want to put the phone down but still listen to music and with other phones and tablets the music just gets muffled.
I also enjoy blinkfeed. It keeps me up to date with news facebook Twitter etc. Sometimes it can get really busy on there, but you can set another page as your home page so you're not constantly overwhelmed with information. There also aren't enough news websites yet, but huffington post is great. Overall though I think it was a nice addition.
I don't own a camera so my phone would be my main source of taking pictures. I wasn't sold on the ultrapixels, but honestly the camera is pretty good. The colors are true to life and not blurry. It's a huge upgrade from my 1.3 mp camera :p the features are also nice. My sis and I spent half an hour cracking up making our eyes bigger and 'contouring' our faces lol in the end we looked like crazy aliens!
This phone is also blazing fast. Ahh I love it. It is so much fast than my tablet. My tablet only has 1gb of ram and it has 1.2 ghz so it takes awhile. Anyway my uverse is only 3mbps so it's not fast but this phone still loads pages really fast.
I also love the screen. It is so sharp and the colors are nice. It's also not to wide so I'm able to text with one hand if I really have to. I definitely wouldnt mind if it was narrower because I have small hands but it's a trade off for the bigger screen.
Battery life is pretty good. I don't bring my charger around and I get around 10 ish hours of normal use. My normal is lots of reading news articles, playing games like shark evo, cross me, email, taking pictures of my dog and browsing stuff online.
There's also another feature that I really really love. It's the tv remote app lol I can never find the remote so this has made it so convenient to change the channel. I use it all the time. It also has a schedule that lists all the stuff that's on tv. Now I don't have to channel surf which is really annoying. I just open the app and see what's on.
This phone is absolutely gorgeous and I really recommend it esp since it's 150 on amazon right now!! You won't regret getting this phone! I'm really glad I chose this over the s4 and iphone 5!

I still love this phone lol
Although, there are some issues with the home and back buttons. A lot of people have been reporting problems with theirs not working. Well mine work about 85% of the time. Sometimes the home button doesn't work and I end up hitting the camera app which is annoying but worse things can happen.
Also, previously I mentioned that the phone lasted about ten hours. This isn't ten hours of non-stop use. It's ten hours of normal use. If I sat there nonstop I think this phone lasts about 4 hours with the screen on half brightness.
This phone does take a long time to charge. I don't really mind though. I read in an article that HTC did this one purpose so that the battery will last longer. Im thankful for that since we can't take out the battery.
It's been half a month since I've had it and other than the buttons not working sometimes, I am still very happy with my purchase.

First let me start by saying I have tried a couple of these type of devices in the past, form big brand name manufacturers, that cost at least four to five times as much, and I was disappointed to say the least. I wound up returning them in disgust.
I own a 2007 Honda Accord EX, which otherwise I love, except for the limitations on the sound system.
Although I have the "Premium" JBL sound system, my stereo will not play MP3 CDs, nor does it have an aux port input like other cars.
So when I saw this device that would allow my to play my Zune HD in my car, and that it was highly rated for only ten dollars, I was skeptical to say the least, but I figured it was worth a shot.
First off, let me say that you will not be disappointed. When I first received this product and I saw the inexpensive packaging and "Chinglish" (Chinese-English)instructions, I did not have high expectations.
When I actually used it, I was surprised. This product WORKS!!! It allows you to tune to any frequency in the FM band, in 0.1 MHz increments. I say this, because some manufacturers have only a handful of presets that you can use (typically 3 - 5).
It even comes with a little remote control (cheesy looking, but it works) that lets you preset to a number of different frequencies.
So if you are looking for an inexpensive method to play your Zune HD in your Honda, this is it.

One last comment. The lower jaws that hold the Zune HD player are adjustable. At first I thought they sent the wrong product because my Zune HD would not fit. It was after fiddling with it that I realized that the cradle is adjustable. So please note before you make the same error.

An enormous album

Scream Dream Ted Nugent

Ted was at this point still putting out solid records but this one was perhaps a little rawer in sound style.
It rocks and has some typical rockin' ted songs. Ted's music here is far less slick than on 'state of shock' too. I have to agree that this is still ted at his peak a position he has not been at for a while. Still to dismiss his later stuff would be a mistake as there are plenty of great ted songs that he put out in the 31 years! since this one. In fact he's live in denver (july 12th, 2011) and there's a chance the classic nuger 'wango tango' will be played. Who knows but this is a must have for fans of ted's style of backwoods beerdrinkin metal or hard rock as you please. His later 80's stuff is more slick by far than this one. This is primal ted and the best one of his 1980's output.

I have used the FM modulators-not useless, but close. Continual fussing with them is a real pain and sound quality is poor to fair. Tried several cassette adaptors--If I hit a bump with one the left had side of the stereo would go out. Then I'd have to eject it and push it back in to get both channels working again. One adaptor my tape player didn't like and would try to switch from side to side-autoreversing direction because the deck thought the "tape" was over. My old Sony cassette adaptor have the manual adjust thing to eliminate cross talk which was more fussing that made it not worth it. This new cassette adaptor from Sony has worked perfect--no more cross talk, no more losing a channel when I hit a bump, no more of my deck thinking the "tape" is over. It does really seem to be self-adjusting. I wish there was a better solution for me to use my iPod in the car like the new adaptor that BMW sells. It would be great have it hard wired directly into the stereo and safely stored in my glove box able to control it from the head unit. Until that solution comes, this is a very cheap and surprisingly decent alternative.
