I used these on a 2008 Honda civic Si, they work for the front and rear speakers. As mentioned in other reviews the hole on these adapters where it is fastened to the car will need to be bored out so the screw is flush with the top of the plastic or the speakers will not fit properly. I used 6.5 inch speakers in my install so I do not know about 5.5 speakers if it would have to be done also. I used a 1/2 spade bit to bore the hole out. I don't know if this is necessary but I put foam between the adaptor and the metal it sits on because I was installing a sub and did not want to have any vibration issues. In the front door speakers I did have some more extra work that had to be done. On the door panel there is this plastic ring I had to cut off because my speakers were not an exact fit because there is a part of the metal door which I did not feel like cutting and my speakers were not exactly able to sit flush on the adapter. Be careful on the speakers one chooses because you may have issues with the depth in the front and rear of the car. All in all these were what I needed to do the job.

The sound was pretty good without the modification talked about in some of the reviews, but I deciced to get the full potential by doing the mod.

I seperated the inner box from the soft outer shell. It is only glued along the sides. Then in front of the speakers you can see the perforated holes to allow the sound through. I assume they are that way for protection so that from jostling around something doesn't come in and jab your speakers. But if you don't plan on abusing these you can cut them out so it allows sound through unrestricted. I just tucked the cutouts back in the pouch so if I feel I want them more protected I can put them back in.

After doing the cutouts of the foam, I compared the one I modified to the other one I had that I hadn't modified yet. I could tell the sound was more full with the cutouts. Even better if you just leave it outside of the soft shell.

I would suggest if you're getting them for laptop speakers or just want better sound. Get 2 of them and daisy chain them together. Sound improves drastically with 2. Good design other than sound restriction.

I couldn't wait to get these ear buds. For quite a few years, I couldn't get earbuds to fit well in my ears. They would press in easy enough, but after a while, my ears began to throb. It never occurred to me, until I saw these, that they made ANYTHING smaller.
I am so happy about Subjekt HPM-21BL HerPhones! The normal casing on the bud itself is approximately 9mm, while these are 8mm and the speaker is the same. It sounded like my music was closer and had better quality. Best of all, no aching ears! After running through a couple dozen pairs of buds over the past 4 years, I've finally found the ones I love. I give these five stars. Thank you Subjekt!
P.S. These might also be appropriate for kids, given the size of the ear gels.

$70 for a speaker that is supposed to be in the $200 club. This is a steal, the biggest thing missing from this that you would get from the $200 and up, is the DEEEEP BASS, but the bass is still pretty darn good.

I give it five stars because of the price and the quality. Not because this is the greatest speaker ever made, but it might be the best speaker by far in this price range.

Bought this at the Base AFEES store for $59 on sale. Played with it all night loading CD's (MP3 format), videos and photos on it. Love the big touch screen, music sounds great coming out of my personal earbuds (The ones that came with it are not so hot) and the built in equalizer is responsive. Videos play well and photos look awesome on it. I enjoyed ripping the CD's into Windows Media Player and then simply dragging them over and Sync'ing the player with it. Videos, photos and book files (it has a little book reader as well) are all drag and drop through Explorer just like using a thumbdrive. All in all I think it was a steal for what I pair for it!

But.....I cannot utilize my Rhapsody account with it because it does not support the license agreements. While not a major drawback, I still like to drag a new song off Rhapsody occasionally. Only way Rhapsody will load it is if you purchase each song individually. Not likely on my budget.

Overall a great price, fun little gadget and positive experience. With 30 videos, 100 photos and more than 40 albums on it already, I have only utilized 1.7GB of the 8GB available. Comes with other little installed options as well like a calculator, recorder, FM radio (works fine with earbuds), clock, calendar (which cannot be modified to useas an appointment scheduler) and stopwatch.

I was one of the people who blew off the S4 as an unimaginative incremental upgrade that would sell like hotcakes to fanboys. Words I find ironic now holding the S4 in my hand. I think the turning point for me came when I was watching a Netflix movie on my HTC one. It was a dark room and the light from my One was entirely too bright so I tapped the screen and pulled down the notification bar to quickly change the brightness...No brightness adjustment. Just a check-box to activate Power Save Mode. So to adjust the brightness I hit the setting button, went into display, and made the change. Reopening the Netflix app, I re-clicked on the movie, it buffered and continued where I left off. Now it was a little too dark...Rinse and repeat. This was about as unintuitive as it gets. I realized at this point I was missing some pretty fundamental options I had grown accustomed to coming from the Galaxy S3. Quick settings aside, the lack of a menu button was becoming more and more of an issue as well. With larger screens it is an annoyance to continually have to reach to the top of a screen to pull down the notification shade and then tap settings in the far upper right, or when in an app to have a quarter inch of my nice 1080p HD display go missing so I can see three small dots indicating click here for Menu. I did my best to enjoy the time I had left with my trophy wife of a phone. But, upon receiving the S4 I was pleasantly surprised, I actually loved the design. It just feels good in the hand. I can honestly say at the end of the day I prefer Samsung's understated design over that of the HTC One. The build feels seamless and is light and thin. The S4 for all it's cheapness in material was a solidly built uniform device. Armed with Quick access to all of of my settings AND a Menu button I finally feel at home. I love the S4. For me it's like not having to give up the S3 I loved while gaining a boost in performance and screen.
In the end this is more of a comparative review between the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4, but since that is the question most android buyers will be facing until the next great phone is announced - Here's my $.02 worth. Guess I'm officialy a fanboy now.

I had a pair of Altec Lansing speakers for the past 10 years. They were good (at 27 watts, they werent great) but I was ready to update to something better. I dont have room for surround sound with 5.1 speakers, so I knew I needed a 2.1 set. Klipsch has been making speakers and audio products for a long time, so it is a brand you can trust. After reading these reviews and finding them on sale on Amazon, I bought them (I would keep checking Amazon to see their prices - they change from time to time and I bought mine when they were on sale with free shipping).

I set them up at home, got them ready and put a CD into my computer. It came out loud. It came out clear. And the bass rattled my wall, pictures, and my bones. I have had other fantastic stereo systems before - in my car, TV surround sound, etc. However, I have never heard bass match the music so cleanly. On lesser speakers, you will hear music from the sattellites and every once and a while, you will hear a thump from the bass, like it just needs to thump to make sure it is working. The ProMedia 2.1 speakers are different. The subwoofer has an exit tube for the bass sound and a covered speaker for additional sound. Which means that when you are listening to music, sound comes out of the two satellites and the subwoofer and the same time, blending the bass and music perfectly. I think that is what impressed me the most. Yes, you can make these speakers extremely loud. Yes, you can turn the bass up high enough to bring down a small building. Yes, your vision will blur if you put your head near the subwoofer while its on. All of those things are impressive, but I think the fact that it matches the music so perfectly makes these speakers the best on the market.

I also tested a DVD, Star Wars Episode 2, since the speakers are THX certified. I used the scene when Jenga Fett chases Obi-Wan throught the asteroid field. Since it is only two speakers, the directional ability of the sound is not as effective - in this case, the movie sounds better on my TV surround sound set. But for computer speakers, the ProMedia speaker sounded great. I would have no problem watching movies on my computer knowing that I was getting high quality sound. And since that subwoofer is kicking out so much bass, you can feel the explosions in the movie.

As for games, which is really what I use my computer for, there is no comparison. Other speakers in this price range dont stand a chance in terms of sound quality, clarity, bass and range. I started playing some levels in Half-Life 2, and indeed there are things I have never heard before. There are birds chirping in the background in some level! But the best thing is that these speakers handled the sound of a bird just as well has it handled the sound of my shotgun blasting an explosive barrel. Everything just sounded so good. I tried other games and each one sounded better than anything else I have ever heard on my computer. The speakers have made a big difference in my game playing experience.

Overall, I highly recommend these speakers. I dont update my computer hardware very often, but when I do, I make sure to get the best. These speakers will change you computer listening experience. They will handle any media - CD, DVD, and games. They will do so any way you wish - you can adjust the subwoofer all the way to off if you perfer not to destroy your apartment. This speaker set is capable of handling anything you want. You wont be sorry if you use these speakers. Buy. Setup. Enjoy.

I asked my tech savvy friend what kind of cable I should get. He told me not to pay more than a dollar for one because he could find me a cable for mere cents on EBAY. About two days later, it started malfunctioning to the point that I just ripped the cable out the jack and threw it out the window (into a trash can of course).

I then attempted to order another cable of the same price from China again. I thought I just had originally gotten a bad cable. The same problems arose with this new cable and he soon joined his buddy in the neighborhood trash can. Finally, I said enough is enough. I found this cable on amazon and it had received good reviews. So i forked out the $8 for it and am so happy I did. The sound quality between this cable and the ones from China is night and day. There's no static at all. I highly recommend this product. Don't be cheap like I was. Just fork over the very reasonable $8 and you won't have to go through all the trouble I did just to get quality sound from your IPOD. TRUST ME!!!

Innovative design that is perfect for the Samsung Galaxy S3, but looks like it will fit other phones as well. grips securely, will mount on dash or on windshield (I like it on the glass). Hold securely enough that punching the screen to select stuff won't disturb the mount. Designed so that the power attachement that comes with it (if you feel you need it) hangs down and the volume buttons easily accessible. Previously tried to find a place for the S3 while navigating and putting it into cup holders was just ridiculous! And dangerous because it forced eyes off road.

And when Samsung gets better at the SIRI thing so you can really just talk to it and get something intelligent going, the mount is going to be just where you want it. I had the original Droid which came with a great vehicle mount from Motorola that would fit only it, and this is easily better. The one button release is a great idea.

I use it to drive four miles to work each way over streets I already know, and put my phone in the mount because it is cool and out of habit. That S3 is way better size and screen clarity than the original Droid -- just made for navigation.

First off, these speakers bump. Did my research on these and the reviews said that these were better than any comparables by far. I was a little skeptical, but went ahead and spent the 88 for the pair of them. I installed these in my rear deck in my avenger and also installed the supplied crossovers. Very easy install for anyone who can turn a screw and solder a wire. I have no amp and just the factory head unit right now and when I hook up my iPhone 4 to these speakers, they scream. They shake my rear spoiler and shake my package tray above the speakers too! I am very impressed with these speakers. My mom has a 2012 Jeep Wrangler with the premium infinity sound system with the 7 or 8 speakers whatever it has and me just upgrading these two speakers in my car blows her system away easily. The highs are great the mids good as well but the bass is good enough that I won't consider a sub. The factory head unit doesn't deliver the power that these speakers need, the stock speakers are paper and can run off it but these really do need some extra power to really shine. I will be adding an amp or an aftermarket double din head unit soon to help with this but for now these speakers have gone above and beyond what I was hoping for. I wasn't looking to put a sub in my car just wanted some 6x9's that would provide me with really good sound quality and the bass that I wanted. These do all of that.

I listen to lots of rock music along with some pop/rap music. Anything with good bass sounds fantastic with these.
