Excellent Product. High Quality. Low Price

New Trent Rechargeable IMP210B NT210B

New Trent Rechargeable IMP210B NT210B

I've had this IMP 170 for my iPhone4 for some time now. It is amazing! The battery last all day for me. I surf the web. I text to friends and family, and I make calls from before sunrise till late at night. I never need to recharge my iPhone during that time. If I need to hook up to iTunes, I can do it with the case still on it. No need to remove the iPhone from the NewTrent case to recharge or sync with iTunes.
The fit and finsh are smooth and the design of the case makes the iPhone cradle in one's hands much as the previous iPhones do without a case or cover.
That's not much to using it, either. I charged the NewTrent IMP 170 by itself until it was fully charged (four solid blue lights), as well as my iPhone before using the case the first time. The case snaps apart and the iPhone smoothly slips in and attaches to the bottom portion. The top portion then slids over the top of the iPhone and snaps into place. That's it. All done.

I'm told that NewTrent put a newer type of battery in this latest model to give it longer life. It seems to be doing that job just fine.

Of course, each individual will have their own results with the NewTrent case. That's to be expected. But, I highly recommend this NewTrent case to any iPhone4 user.

  1. This case fits all my requirements for a battery extender. It has doubled my phone life so it is great for traveling. Case fits well, no problems with access ports or buttons but you will need to take the case off to use Apple accessories or docks. Has a black matte finish for less fingerprints and feels solid and not slippery in my hand. It will add some weight/bulk (it is a battery case!) but not a dealbreaker for me. It may not fit in standard holsters but fits fine in my pocket. Comes with a free screen protector and a micro USB cable to charge/sync the phone without removing the case.
There are 4 small LEDs to indicate charging status as well as a tiny on/off button.

Feel this was a great value for the price, no problems to date and works as advertised. Wish there were more color choices but this is a minor issue.
Overall very happy with my purchase.

  2. I bought this because I use my iphone to listen to iheart radio. before I got this my iphone only last for 2.5 h because streaming the radio takes a lot of battery power. after I got this my iphone last more than 5 h so i would recommend this product to everyone who looking for external battery. good price, good quality

  3. The IMP220 is a great minimalist external battery pack for the iPhone 4. I don't usually use a case for my phone so it's easy for me to just slide it on when I need some extra juice. Prior to this I used an external battery pack, but that can be very cumbersome. It's almost like carrying 2 phones tethers by a wire.

This case is great because it has an LED display to display how much charge is left. Once the phone is in the case, you can opt to turn the battery on and off. I've brought my phone down to 10% to 15% percent before putting it in the battery case. Each time, it recharged the phone to 100% with some leftover.

When traveling, one doesn't need to carry their iPhone cable. You can charge both your phone and the battery case at the same time.

The snap one cover is small, but is made with sturdy plastic. Overall this is an awesome product.

There are a few minor downsides.

Buttons are a little hard to get to if you have big fingers. You really have to get in there to get to the power and the volume buttons.

The case also does a good job of shooting the sound towards you rather than the iPhones natural speaker direct of straight down, but this comes at the expense of losing some volume while the phone is in the case.

Overall, after two weeks of use. I would recommend this to friends.

  4. I researched 10+ different iphone battery cases and this imaxpower IMP 130 is the best no doubt. All the other similar items on ebay have lower grade cells that compose the battery pack. Lower grade as in not having the actual amperage that they say they have in them and being a low quality impure lithium product that results in much lower performance and lifespan.
Also the circuitry that is built in this imaxpower case is much more superior. Which ensures proper charging and discharging.
If lithium batteries do not discharge and or charge correctly then you can end up with a serious fire. Just google lithium battery fire or lipo battery fire and you will see. HP just had to recall 70,000 lithium batteries due to fire risk.

This is these guys specialty. They have their own manufacturing and lab testing facility here in the states. They know batteries for sure.

This case beats the mophie (80.00 at best buy)because it does not interfere with data/call reception like the mophie has been reviewed to do and the imaxpower case has a better non slip surface on it so it won't slip out of your hand. Their customer service is also A+. You will not regret your purchase.

  5. Pay attention to the model in the reviews, many of these reviews must be for older versions of this case. I really liked the look of the case, and it had more battery power (1800ma) than any other. But I was worried because of the fact well, this is generic. I could find no official reviews on this case and was scared. But I needed to buy a leather holster anyways, and it can be VERY difficult to find an aftermarket leather case that fits a phone with large armor...so I ordered it right up. So here are the questions I wish had been answered before I bought:

First it looks HOT, its not too big or thick. It sits at 3/4" thick with the phone inside. The feel is rubberised without being "sticky" rubber, very smooth

There is a lip around the screen so if you set the phone face down the glass does not touch the table.

The power usage is automatic, there is no "switch" like some reviewers mentioned. There is a button on the back that checks the battery level on the case. If you hold it down it will disable the case battery and turn the case off and the phone works fine off its normal battery. But you can just leave it on and not have to mess with anything.

The case fits snug, no wiggle at all. The case has holes allowing access to all the buttons. You have to use your fingernail to push the buttons, which I think is a good thing because anyone with a leather holster knows that buttons get pressed accidentially all the time. There is no danger of that with this case, however if you use the volume buttons all the time it might be annoying, but I just set it and rarely change it.

Of course you can charge and sync the phone normally without taking the phone out of the case by using the included pass-through USB cable.

Overall, no need to be skeptical, it's everything you could want with more power than any other battery case I have found.

  7. The IMP130 is an excellent accessory to the iPhone. It extends the "in-between-full-charging" life such that I can get through nearly two days of reasonably heavy use in between full charges of the phone and the case.
The case adds a slight bit of weight and bulk to the phone, but is not bothersome at all. The case has a rubberized, non-slip coating, similar in feel to an InCase iPhone shell.
The rear LED, although not bright enough for photos in complete darkness, adds enough light such that typical indoor (e.g. restaurant table, etc.) photos taken at close range are brighter, and the auto-focus seems to function a bit better with the additional light.
The case provides openings for the side volume rocker and mute on/off toggle, which, when inside this case, are somewhat recessed. This allows for a bit of extra protection around these controls, but at the same time requires some extra effort to access the volume control, and muting/unmuting requires a fingernail (at least for me.) I do not mind this, as the controls are not exposed and thus protected against drops and the like.
The phone can sync with iTunes through the case using the supplied cable (I recommend using a USB port directly connected to the motherboard or PCI-to-USB card, as opposed to a hub.) Charging via both car lighter and AC-to-mini-USB adapter (the fastest method) have also worked just fine in my hands.
In summary, the IMP130 case is an excellent (and stylish) way to provide a significant additional amount of iPhone use time between charges, useful for those who cannot live without their iPhone and are constantly draining the internal battery. Congratulations to NewTrent on an excellent product. I highly recommend.

  8. Does exactly what it should do, fits the iphone snugly and definitely improves battery life DRAMATICALLY.

To answer some of the common questions:
    1. The on/off switch turns the battery back on or off - not sure why you'd want to turn it off, but if you do, the iphone will run on its own battery. When on, the iphone will first drain the pack, then its own battery.
    2. Charging - it charges via standard micro USB, and yes, you charge the phone just by connecting the case (no need to charge separately). The one time you may want to separate them is if the pack is dead and you iphone is close to dead, since the pack needs to get a bit of a charge before it will charge the iphone...

Which brings me to how the thing ACTUALLY works: yes, it's a battery, however your iphone will simply treat it as though it is plugged into a wall outlet/usb cable: you'll see the plugged in symbol, and charging symbol on the iphone screen. Once the battery pack dies, that turns off. It's pretty ingenious actually.

On the back of the device are 3 LED lights showing if it's fully charged: when all 3 are lit, it's full...when 1 is lit, its 1/3 etc. Any way you slice it, this is a TREMENDOUS improvement over the battery life of my rapidly failing 3G battery.

Pros: Extends battery life dramatically, fits securely around iphone 3G, charges with standard micro USB cable
Cons: Adds a substantial amount of weight to the device, takes a decent amount of time to get a good charge, will not fit into any iphone docks (ipod dock connector does not stock out of case) - this includes ANYTHING you connect to in the past (car kits too) - so if you still want to use those, you will need to remove the bottom of the case. While it feels fairly sturdy, I'm not sure how much of that kind of abuse it can take.
