Jabra SPEAK 510 Internet Speakerphone
I have a consulting business which I am routinely on the phone for a couple of hours a day and I am always looking for a better speakerphone. With that being said, I use this device as a speakerphone and not as a speaker for listening to music. I have owned the previous Jabra 410 version which was good but the newer 510 I believe has better sound quality and connectivity. The 510 connects seamlessly with my iPhone via Bluetooth and I have had no problems with any interruptions. What is great about this speakerphone is the sound quality and clarity. When I call others, they always mention how it sounds like I'm not even on a speakerphone. The battery life on the speakerphone is also very good in that I have spoken for 2 days about 4 hours each day and didn't need to charge it. Finally the speakerphone has a very small footprint so it is very portable and comes with a soft neoprene case. Anyways, I would highly recommend this product if you own a small business or just need a speakerphone for daily use!

Works fantastic, much better than my Plantronics bluetooth headset. Audio is clear, people on the other end can't tell i'm on a speakerphone. I've even used it in the car, set it on the center console and it works great. I'm a consultant and travel alot and wanted a solid speakerphone for conference calls.

BalasHapusI couldn't be happier with this. It is extremely easy to use. You just turn it on, it immediately tells you to go to your phone settings for Bluetooth, and select it, and then it just remembers. The buttons easily work as you would expect, and the visual display for things like power, bluetooth connection work well. Just remember to hold for 2 seconds for power or to re-pair bluetooth because it saves you from accidentally touching them. Most importantly, I think it sounds great from both ends. Listing from the Jabra end sounded as good as any speakerphone that I've ever used. Listening from the other end (talking to someone else using the Jabra speakerphone) couldn't even tell they were on speakerphone. I thought it actually sounded better in person than it comes across in the video. The case is a nice touch to help tote it too. I never got any echo at all from either end. I really couldn't be happier.
I can hardly find anything not to like. I don't understand the battery level status when I press the battery button. And I might have preferred if the USB cable end had a notched area in the bottom plastic to hold it rather than just squeezing it slightly in the gap. But really, that's it. This is a no-brainer recommendation for me.
The Jabra SPEAK 510 is a device that functions as a speaker for your phone or other bluetooth devices. The quick connect feature means it's easy to use not only as a hands-free, speakerphone while talking on the phone but also a portable speaker when listening to music. It has a solid connectivity range with the bluetooth enabled device which means the portable device (like your phone) doesn't even need to be in the same room with you. On that note, you need to make sure you disconnect the bluetooth when you're taking your phone with you, so you don't accidentally answer while on still on the speakerphone.
BalasHapusThe setup was easy with the included instructions. My husband wasn't thrilled with the fact that the USB cord is permanently attached as it makes it a little clunky (not a huge deal) when wrapped around the speaker for storage. He prefers a detachable cord. It comes with a soft case for quick storage and portability.
My husband used this in his office to allow him to talk while doing work. Unfortunately, there was a good bit of echo with the phone due to the nature of his office (cement floors and walls). On the other hand, when he used it as a hands-free device for his phone in his vehicle, it worked wonderfully with no echo. It was much clearer than when he used a bluetooth headset.
One of his favorite features is using it as a speaker for listening to music (pandora or other music) from his phone. The crisp sound with volume control allows him to listen wherever he wants. Volume is displayed with white lights around the unit. The mute button lights up red lights, so you know, at a glance, when the unit is muted.
It has excellent battery life which means you can use it for a long time before it needs a charge. When you hit the battery button, little lights easily show how much battery life is left. The unit will go into standby mode when not in use to preserve battery life.
Overall, this speaker was a hit around our house.

BalasHapusGuess I should say that this bluetooth speaker's sort of growing on you! First, I wonder what the point was to have an extra speaker phone when your smart phone is capable of just about anything this device could offer and more. Then as I used it more, I start to like it.
BalasHapusFirst, it worked like your office's conference phone. You can really hold a conference call with this. Audio and clarity is superb, the other end wouldn't even know you are talking on a speaker phone. It also works as external speaker; videos and music sound much better on this speaker than your phone's built-in speaker. No Bose quality, but good enough to enjoy a good movie. There is a headphone jack, so you can plugged in your headset. OK...again, nothing that your smartphone like an iPhone wouldn't have, just works a little better. One thing is it work great in the car. Better than my car bluetooth speaker phone.
Connect the speaker to your phone is simple, if the bluetooth light is not on (it goes into bluetooth connect mode the first time you turn it on), hold down the bluetooth button for a couple seconds, then the speaker will announce its mode. Hold down the power button a few seconds to turn it off. There is volume up/down button and on/off hook button. Another word, it is a full feature speaker phone. About the only this speaker phone needs is a LED display. But then, you have it on your phone already!
As I mentioned, I have some reservation at first, but now I love it.
I've gone through multiple Bluetooth products. I love this thing! I really dislike having a Bluetooth stuck in my ear or having to cradle a phone next to my ear for those long phone calls. This little guy breaks me from the Bluetooth chains. I used it as a conference phone for a product demo with a small roomful of attendees (~20 or so) and everyone could hear. I wish that it had just a little more volume. Folks on the other end of the phone call have not complained about volume or call quality. I'm a picky consumer, and the Jabra 510 works!
BalasHapusI think this is a really nice Bluetooth speaker. It is compact and professional in appearance so it would be great in an office setting. It also comes with a padded zipper pouch to make it convenient to take with you on business trips or vacations.
BalasHapusIts claim of "get started in under 5 minutes" is spot on. Extremely easy to connect with voice instructions to let you know the next step. Clear sound and easy to use controls, not to mention cool flashing lights! The instructions tell you to hook it up to your PC with no mention of Mac but it worked on both our PC and Mac. Very nice and I recommend it.
I also have been shopping around a bit. I wanted a high quality, small footprint, easy to use speaker phone system for my iPhone.
BalasHapusThe voice quality is excellent; the person on the other end cannot tell they are on speaker phone,
Feedback and "tinniness" has never been a problem. Fidelity and Sound quality are excellent. I agree-would heartily recommend this as well. No need to look further.
