I listen to a seriously eclectic range of music and this speaker ROCKS! I cannot attest to the quality of rap bass as I am not a fan. I was worried I was going to be one of THOSE people driving around with the loud BASS coming out of the car... well I was worried about nothing. I can turn it up as loud as SAFE to listen to with so much BASS that I can feel it in my chest and moves my hair around. I have a small car but am certain this would work in any vehicle. Make sure you take the time to tweak the settings to balance the speaker with your existing rig. I have a nice stock set of speakers but was lacking the sub frequencies... if you use a stock setup jsut turn the bass to less than the neutral or zero position and add the sub volume until it is balanced. I suggest you start with the volume as loud as you would ever listen to it paying attention to the clarity of the bass in your full range speakers. Once you hear distortion make sure you back off the bass on the head unit and add the SUB volumt until right. Remember a sub has a break-in period and some of these adjustments will have to be re-tweaked. Now to add the sound mat to the interiour regions that are rattling about...the dome light is especially troublesome. Enjoy!

Similarly it will work with the old style connector on old style devices - assuming you have both (device and connector). There's no need to buy the older 10 watt model of this Apple iPad charger. It may (or may not) charge SOME of the Apple devices faster than the original chargers that came with them (hopefully, for example, the iPad 3) - Apple has a way of reading the power capacity of its devices and providing more power if it is safe. If it is NOT safe to deliver more power on an Apple device, the charger will revert to a lower power mode for safe charging.

With non-Apple products, the odds are this charger will revert to 5 watt or even lower USB power standards to protect third part devices. Even if the third party device is a tablet that would be happy with more power and can in fact draw more power from its own stock charger.

What this means in terms of actual use is this:

1. You can replace all the tiny cube and former larger rectangular Apple chargers with this when you travel, and each Apple device you attach will draw the right amount of power.

2. You can safely use this on non-Apple products, but is they want a lot of power the Apple probably won't deliver it since the Apple charger won't know that's "safe."

So the Apple charger is close to, but not quite, a "one stop" replacement for all the other USB port chargers you have. It WILL work with 3rd party devices, but maybe charge some of them more slowly than their own native charger will.

Blame the USB standards group for not adopting a universal protocol for communicating "safe power" levels through the USB ports, not Apple. At least we don't have to carry both classic Apple cube, and the larger iPad chargers, around all the time (unless you have to charge them both at the same time, in which case don't throw out or give away or old Apple cube charger).

FWIW we have used the new charger on a Google Nexus 7 tablet (charges as fast as the stock charger), on iPhone 3gs and iPhone 4, on iPad mini, 3 and 4 and haven't had a hiccup. Even on an old dumb phone with a micro USB port.

Apple shuffle Yellow NEWEST MODEL

All that I can find with the new release is the updated colors, the rest looks the same. This is still 4th generation Apple iPod Shuffle (from wikipedia, this new color refresh is still under 4th generation category).

This product is small, actually very small. I know you can use your iPhones or Androids and even get more storage space than this, but shuffle has a different target of users, mostly for active and on the go users. This is perfect for exercising, running, walking, etc. Just clip it to your shirt and your ready to go.

If your the type of user who wants to put all your mp3s to your mp3 player, then you might want to find a different player thas has larger capacity , as this one has only 2gb of space. You should still be able to put hundreds of songs here especially if your songs bitrate compression is not very high.

Great amp for the price

R1100M Monoblock Amplifier Subwoofer Control

Installed this amp to power a single JBL GT5 12". So far the amp has provided a flawless performance. You should spend some time fine tuning the low pass filter settings to minimize distortion. The bass boost switch isn't needed for a single sub, and the remote control does not need to be turned all the way up for satisfactory results.

I would recommend you use an 8 ga. power cord and ground for your installation. Ground the amp with 24" or less of 8 ga. ground cord. The "Boss" emblem lights up when the power is on, so you might want to install the amp where it will not reflect onto your rear windshield.

I have not felt any excess heat coming from this amp yet. The compact size is great for concealing in small spaces. I was able to install it in the back of an F-150 cab and still have enough room for cooling. This is my first experience with a Boss amplifier, and I definitely pleased with the results.

I purchased this unit compared to the Belkin Aircast (bluetooth version). It's usually about $20 cheaper and I've been impressed with the quality of Kinivo products. First off, you need an auxiliary input on your device (car stereo's too). This is similar to a headphone jack except a headphone jack is an audio output (not input). Also...something to keep in mind, in particular for automobiles, is that your input will have to be switched to AUX. Some auto's do this automatically, however, if you are listening to a CD or AM/FM/XM, don't expect an automatic switch over to AUX, unless your cars does this. (I don't know any that do.) I use this with a 2012 LX model Honda Civic that didn't come with Bluetooth and it works well. I mounted mine right by the radio. You can't even see it in the dark. However, there is an annoying blue light that flashes every once in a while to let you know it's connected. I find it annoying...others may not. I'm thinking of marking over it with a Sharpie Marker. The ability to stream audio is awesome and you can forward Pandora songs without fumbling for a phone. This is one of those items that you purchase where you feel like you are getting your money's worth!

Hell I may order another one just for kicks I am so happy with the product and price. I have a black iPhone 4s 32 gig and unlike some of the others I have had no flash/picture quality issues while using this case and I took a ton of them in various lighting just to ensure I did not (like I said I'm picky) I dont know what the others are experiencing or why all I can say is I dont have any problems taking pics with this case on my 4s. i bought these speakers to replace the ones in my Durabrand radio with really bad cheap speakers. the only thing i had to change was i had to modify the speaker box to fit the speakers but that cause it had a weight to make you think the stock speakers are better than they really are. other than that they are excellent speakers for $12.00 they come with the mounting screws and clips and sweet looking cover plates. the wire that comes with them is less that 22ga wire so if i where you i would buy some good speaker wire but the wire that came with them is alright if you don't want to buy speaker wire. all in all there really good for $12.00. the only other thing is the connections on the speaker are different sizes for positive and negative the + is the big one and the - is the small one the included wire has slide on connectors with un shrunk heat shrink tube.again they're really good speakers for the price definite buy!

Bought this to replace an aging single din Pioneer unit that I will be moving to my 96 Ranger. I had a little trouble hacking the plastic mounting adapter to fit my 2006 Focus. Once I had it setup right, the unit dropped right into place. I really enjoy the large display and the multiple colors. The separate color and brightness settings for day and night are really great! My old unit was always eith too dim in the daylight or too bright at night. The sound is great, the controls, complex, but workable. Bluetooth paired on the second try, and the first problem was my mistake. The iPod controls take some getting used to, but work well.

Pros - great big display, ease of installation overall, blue tooth, iPod and iPhone compatible, superior sound.

Cons - bought it partially for HD radio compatablity, the adapter is discontinued, I wish more of the iPod display modes had the time somewhere on the screen, and it would be nice if the unit displayed the time when it is switched off while the vehicle is running.

I now prefer traveling with the Kinivo for all it's extra features, and I love it's cost, which was $8 less than the I-Home on Amazon.

Strangely, I bought three of these speakers just eleven days ago from Amazon, and now it's listed as "Currently Unavailable." And when I look it up, it comes up as "Cyber Snipa CSAS001 Sonar" at TWICE the price! Not good news.

Excellent helmet set

Sena SMH5 01 Bluetooth Intercom Motorcycles

This headset is excellent. I commute to work each day, riding my cycle most of the time. The bluetooth lets me listen to the area's news radio station for traffic/news updates. I have an iPhone 3GS and it synced without a problem. I listen to either my iTunes or internet radio station on the way home without a problem as well. The bass is lacking, but otherwise the sound quality is excellent. My iPhone doesn't have the right programming to advance/skip/etc. through my songs, but not a big issue for me.

As for phone calls, it works great as well. People calling me could not tell I was on my motorcycle. Sound quality is great and loud enough. Dialing out isn't very easy, but that is an issue with my iPhone's voice recognition system, not the Sena's.

Mounting it was very easy and took about 30 minutes. Most of that time was trying to find the right place to mount the boom mic. I have a full-face helmet and ended up running the mic along the top of the left cheek pad and then down in front of my mouth. The main unit clamps on the side of the helmet.

Battery life has been unbelievably good. I usually charge the unit once every other week. That is about 20+ hours per week of use. It has never been lower than 1/2 battery. Charging is simple enough with the included USB cord.

Overall, I am VERY satisfied with the unit and will be buying another one for my wife soon. I have not tried the intercom or rider-to-rider yet, but we will when my wife gets hers. 5 out of 5 stars.

Yes it is light and not real bulky. And YES it IS waterproof. I contest I have swam 12 feet down in some hot springs in central Utah and took some rad photos.

Validate your warranty! I have had this product now for 6 months and have made two warranty claims, which both I was at fault for, not a defect in the product. I dropped my phone and it landed on the hatch door which put a small crack in the charge port hatch door, although not to the point that it would compromise its waterproofness, I figured it was a matter of time. Customer service took care of me and I sent in my back for a new one. No charge. Second claim, I had a bad habit of folding my headphone adapter which caused a short in it. This happens with any headphone cord if u bunch them up or roll them too tightly, MY bad. But they sent me a new one by mail and it took only a short phone call.

The volume buttons and the silent switch work great. No noticeable difference in touchscreen sensitivity. The phone functions close to just like it does naked. Best case on the market period.

I tried the Sony Ipod Bluetooth Transmitter.
I tried the Rocketfish Ipod bluetooth Transmitter

This is the only transmitter that paired with either my Samsung wep500
or the Callpod Dragon V2.

Both of these models of Bluetooth headset are older so maybe I shouldn't fault
Sony or Rocketfish but fact of the matter is that theirs wouldn't work and this transmitter hooked up
effortlessly.

Good features
1.Because it carries it's own charge it doesn't drain the Ipod batteries.
2 It bends outwards it is about the width of my Nano 2g and only makes it longer.
3. You control the sound volume from the Ipod.
4. It uses a standard micro usb port to charge so I can use my callpod charger and my motorola
charger.
5. It sounds really clear.
6. Used with an Ipod it is really loud I actually am using it at 3/4 volume.
7. It pairs with older model Bluetooth Headsets that Sony and RocketFish wouldn't recognize.

Bad feature.
