JLab Bombora Over Headphones Universal
While I have only owned the Bombora Headphones for a few days, I am over the top impressed with the sound quality and fidelity they deliver. I am a music journalist and having studio quality, over the ear headphones is a necessity. I have MANY pairs of headphones from earbuds all the way up to more expensive models of over the ear models, as I am always listening to music. This popped up as a daily deal, I definitely liked the look and the reviews on the comfort and sounds were pretty alluring--they were also half off list price so I took a chance on a brand I've never heard of before. Now, only a few days later they are the only headphones I want to listen to, seriously. I've listened to albums that I have heard 1000 times before (not an exaggeration, albums I've been listening to for twenty years or more)and have heard details I have never once heard before. The detachable, non-tangling flat chord is a total bonus as the chord is always the first to go on phones put to hard use. A beautiful, amazing, functional headphone and really, for the music I listen to (rock, indie-rock, alternative, etc.) these may well be the best sounding headphones I've ever owned. Also, though noise cancellation is mentioned nowhere in the features of the headphones, these obliterate the sounds of the outside world far better than many headphones that tout that as their main feature. I'm actually quite addicted to them and have been pondering each and every title I want to revisit with this awesome sound. JLab may have found a fan for life.

BalasHapusQuick unboxing review of the Bombora's in black. Nice quality headphones from JLab. I'm loving these on my commute to work in NYC.
I bought these on the JLab website after my Skullcandy Aviators broke. I admit I didn't really know what to expect. Once I received them, I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality. Nice metal details and solid structure throughout, but what really blew me away was the sound! These hit very deep bass and crisp vocals without any distortion even at high volume. I played electronic/indie/80s/rap and still sounded great on all platforms. These definitely trump my Aviators and are a fraction of the price! I would definitely recommend these.
BalasHapusFirst off, let me say that I have a few pairs of headphones: Panasonic RP-HTX7, Audio-Technica ATH-SQ5 and Incase Sonic. My favorite of these three are the Panasonics because they sound great all-around and are still super comfortable, despite not having the memory foam cushioning that the Sonics have.
BalasHapusI bought JLab Bomboras on a whim because I caught the lightning deal the other day and figured why not... well, this is now my favorite pair! They look great, but are still extremely comfortable -- probably more so than any of the aforementioned pairs of headphones. Most importantly, the sound is amazingly clear without losing any bass. I'm quite picky with my bass, so this is extremely important to me. I don't hear any problems with treble or mids, and in fact have discovered more instruments in certain songs that I'd never heard before.
For what it's worth, I listen to quite a variety of music: I tested orchestral soundtracks, classical, pop, oldies and rock and have grown quite fond of the way these headphones make them all sound.
Overall, I think these are one of the best pairs of headphones I could've purchased under $100. My other headphones were in that range as well (caught a deal on the Sonics), but with the exception of the Panasonics, had flaws that don't make me wish to grab them for music listening on the go.
Bonus: the cable is detachable and it comes with a nice drawstring carrying pouch that fits the headphones perfectly. I assume the bundled pouch comes in a matching color, as I have brown/gold with a brown pouch.
Highly recommended if you're in the market for headphones and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars.
Awesome, never thought i could get these at a low price, i paid zero for them from my promotional credit i get from amazon, these sound like they are 150 to 200 dollars. Better then beats, but not bose headphones they have that home and work and play fell to them. also coudnt change my wire length on it only con of mine.
BalasHapusI just received my pair in the mail (in diff color)..AND INSTANTLY WAS HOOKED, SHOCKED, PLEASED, ETC that a headphone @ this price could have quality great enough to compete and/or possibly sound better than competitors (Beats by Dre, Soul By Ludacris, SMS by 50Cent). I mainly listen to rap/hip hop and these are PERFECT for truly enjoying the music. What I was most concerned about before buying was whether or not the Deep Bass (popular in rap music) would actually sound "deep". Im glad to report that it does (in my opinion), its rich, not distorted, and not overly exaggerated. You can not only hear, but FEEL the bass (in music that has it). The over the ear design allows for u to really become "submerged" into the music without hearing any outside noise. Some people may feel that the Highs can be tweaked a tad bit in certain music genres, but depending on the song, it may be an EQ/Mixing issue caused by the artist/ producer/sound engineer. But u can always use EQ yourself to tune to your liking. Im mainly concerned with quality, but these headphones are quite comfortable (big plus if u enjoy listening to music for long periods of time. I love the design of it as well, doesnt look too flimsy or cheap @ all, and is quite stylish looking i feel. The detachable power cord is also a great feature as well. Some may feel that the cord could be longer, but you can always buy an additional power adapter for more length. I highly recommend this if you're looking for great sound quality, stylish headphones @ a great price (more than half that of BeatsByDre).
BalasHapusI currently own different 3 pairs of headphones for a variety of uses. Typically, I use my headphones at work to drown out my noisy co-workers, cutting the grass, working out, and just relaxing at home. I typically use J5 from JLab which I love so much that I never leave home without them. My apple ear pods and skull candy headphones are fine but I give them to the kids. They are not allowed to touch my JLAB. None of them can compare to my J5. I bought JLBAB Bombora because of the incredible price and prior experience from my J5 and I was not impressed with by Dre Beats. The Dre Beats hurt my head and ears after a little while. The durability of the Dre Beat is suspect.
BalasHapusAfter putting the Bomboras on for the first time, I was blown away. The sound is incredible. I tested them on hip hop, classical (yes, I need it to relax), bhangra, couple of books, and talk radio through my iphone. The bass is deep and rich, the treble is soothing to the ear. WOW!
I love the comfort memory foam on top. I have a shaved head so its really nice to have the extra padding.
Love this headphone...Just sold my Dre Beats.
JLAB you are now 2 for 2 in my book. J5 and Bombora.
Next is the JLAB Crasher.
Keep doing what you're doing JLAB.
