First let me say that I almost never review products. However I was so pleased with this unit I felt it necessary to write something. Prior to installing this unit I had gone thru TWO Boss Audio 8" powered subs in about 3 days. The first one lasted about 2 minutes and went into protect mode and that was it. I though, ok maybe I just got a bad unit, so I sent it back and got my second one a couple days later. (Amazon service was great). I quickly wired up the second unit and it was working fine for about 2 days, then it just quit. Strike two, there was no way I was going to buy ANYTHING with the name BOSS Audio on it again. After a little searching I found this unit. I have a 2009 Ford F150 super cab and was just looking for something to give me a little extra low end thump and didn't have a lot of room to play with.(it fit perfect under the rear seat) I'm using the factory radio cuz it has Sirius, but I put a pair of Boston Acoustic speakers in front and it made a HUGE difference. Yet it was still missing that low end thump that I was used to from having a factory sub in my prior truck. As others have said, this will not blow your windows out, but in my opinion it does a great job. My friends couldn't believe the difference in sound with this unit hooked up. I especially LOVE the remote control. I listen to mostly Classic Rock from the late 60's and early heavy metal like Black Sabbath. The phase control on the remote is AWESOME. Depending on the song, the phase needs to be adjusted quite a bit sometimes. If you have a sub without a remote you would always be pulling over to adjust the phase level because one setting is not going to be optimal for all songs. I payed about $120 for this unit and it is worth every penny. Also, it was easy to wire and comes with a good quality wiring kit. My friend is going to go buy 2 for his car he liked mine so much.

Gorgeous head unit with really bright lighting and tons of features

I'd been hunting for a car stereo head for quite some time to replace my factory unit in my 2008 Pontiac Vibe. I wanted iPhone compatibility most of all, and an auxiliary port for use by friends with non-iPhones. I couldn't resist the price of this unit, and (BONUS!) it also has Bluetooth capabilities! Well, I got what I was looking for and I couldn't ask for more.

Now, I get in my car a little sooner than necessary, plug in my phone, and choose an album or playlist on Spotify (I rarely use iTunes nowadays), and use the arrows or the remote to navigate through tracks. I love that I can talk on the phone hands-free or activate Siri when necessary using the Bluetooth, and even make phone calls without touching my phone by utilizing the phone number presets. MixTrax is a pretty fun feature, especially with friends riding along, because of the flashing frequency/level-sensitive light show it offers.

The unit is a bit bright at night, but I default it to a dark blue so it's not as distracting, and I'm happy with it! Another minor annoyance is that when cycling through the sources, I run into Pandora (it is installed on my iPhone and have it plugged in via USB), and my phone will ask permission for usage of the Pandora app by the unit every time... it's only annoying because I don't want to use my limited data up on streaming radio. That's not too big a deal either way, and you may want to use Pandora yourself anyway.

Along with this unit, I had to purchase a harness and radio antenna adapter (both specific to the make/model of my car) to install, so be sure to add those to your cart before you place your order! And trust me, you should place your order! It's definitely worth the buy! :)

Kicker DS65 Coax Speakers Pair

These speakers have great sound quality, are easy to install and would be a great addition to just about any car audio system.

My Speakers are still functioning as well as they were the day I installed them. Clear, crisp sound at extreme volumes.
I'm editing my review to add a bit more information on my experiences with these speakers. A friend of mine bought these speakers the same time I did. He had the worst luck with the speakers crackling at low volume, and horrible distortion at high volume. So upon calling me, and professing quite loudly that the speakers were bad we started to troubleshoot. After a few short minutes I found the problems. There was nothing wrong with the speakers they worked perfectly. There were two problems causing the noises he experienced. 1: He had cracked insulation on his speaker wires in the door panel leading to the speakers. This was causing the speakers to short out, and make noise while they were on. 2: His stereo unit itself was installed improperly(quite a bit of craziness going on there). After a Quick fixing of these two problems his speakers sound clear and crisp as good quality new speakers should.

In conclusion, as easy as these speakers are to install it pays to do a bit of preventative checking on the setup you are installing them into to help avoid any potential problems.

I've been into car audio for about 25 years, and I've owned a little bit everything. From top of the line stuff, to no name junk, I've tried it all. I've had this amp in my car for about a week now and my gosh am I impressed. I have it running two JBL 6.5's two JBL 6x9's and two JL 10W1V2's. It absolutely SCREAMS! There is plenty of find tuning that can be done right on board the amp and it puts out more than enough power. I don't know if it pushes what it claims, most amps don't, but it puts out more than enough to piss off your neighbors or the cars in front or behind you. The only thing I can't comment on is the amps longevity because like I said I've only had it for 1 week. I don't write reviews very often but felt inclined in this case to let people who are trying to build a budget car stereo know, this amp is a fine place to start.

I never heard of this brand before. I needed a new amp as my old Onkyo amp just stopped working. I am DJ/music producer with a vibrant Ebay lp biz, and am familiar with good sound. I purchased a pair of MAudio powered monitors before this purchase that were disappointing, returned them, Decided I wanted to keep my Tannoy Pbm 6.5 speakers, so started shopping for a new amp. My studio is modest and didn't need a whole lotta power. So I searched and stumbled on this little cute box from Pyle. Price was awesome,nice array of inputs and features(that I really didn't need but seemed nice to have) and the headphone jack was a must.
So I gave the unit a chance and ordered it. Came super fast. Now everything about the product made me happy. The packaging and design of the box was cute,colorful. The unit is solid, knobs with center indent, switchers, (love the blue leds, my favorite color!)input jacks, all are nice quality considering the price point, The SOUND IS AMAZING! clear, DEFINED AND VERY CLOSE TO THE ONKYO. I have had Cerwin Vega amps, Dynaco amps, and this little baby sounds terrific on my Tannoys. Plus the headphone output is nice, clean, good amperage and vibrant.
Only down side is the right speaker wire input is a bit off, but able to get wires in. Overall this unit get an 8.5 to a 9 on a top score of 10. The unit is really very nice,solid box and cool for home use AND a bit of DJING! FIERCE!

I wish they would market this product more, I really had to do quite a bit of research for find this gem. And no question about it, this product is a gem! It's called a bluetooth enabled FM transmitter, but that's like describing an Audi S8 as a civilian transport vehicle. There is so much under the hood of this product!

To put it simply, all I wanted was product that would stream music playing on my iPhone through bluetooth to my car's audio system. I own a 1994 Mustang and I was getting tired to hooking into cables when I got into my car, scrolling through my iPhone, and finally playing something. All of that to ultimately repeat the process in reverse when I was ready to leave my car. Most newer vehicles have this feature but I didn't want to spend thousands on a new car, when I had a perfectly good car with one minor tech exception.

This product solved that exception and so much more!

It will allow you to:
- charge your mobile device (not just iPhone)
- send audio to your car via radio transmission (pretty much any frequency you'd like - not just a subset range)
- send audio to your car via auxiliary audio input
- take audio from A2DP bluetooth streaming device
- take audio from an audio input (if you'd like to use your iPod or other device without bluetooth)
- control playback forward, reverse, next track, previous track, play, and pause
- answer a call from your bluetooth phone
- place a call from your bluetooth phone
- use voice command on your bluetooth phone (not sure about other devices, but works great on my iPhone)
- set the volume being sent to your car
- and press a single button on the product to turn it on and off (this is awesome since some cars don't turn off power to devices that are plugged into the car's power port - this means that it'll continue to draw power even after you've removed your car keys - this option eliminates that from happening!!!)

The experience:
Pairing was super easy, pressed and held one button for 5 secondsish on the device, then selected the name on my iPhone and it was done.

Using the features was equally as easy. It was all intuitive and I have yet to even open the manual =)

Sound quality is another shiny plus here. Different genres of music played really well. The sound quality was crisp, no background noise, and powerful enough that I have my stereo volume at a normal listening level which is the same level I have set for listening to CDs, mp3s, etc.

Microphone quality is also great. I'm not sure if the product uses noise canceling technology, but it was surprisingly clear and I didn't need to speak up or change my speech patterns at all.

I'm also really happy with Accessory Genie, their product packaging and shipping were really great. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to nicks and scratches, and they did a great job in not only getting the product on the first day of the delivery range, but also packaging it perfectly.

In retrospect, this review probably sounds like a marketing plug in disguise, but all I can say is I rarely fill out a review beyond "great product" or "needs more work, not happy". I really tip my hat to the engineer that created this little gem =)

I recently purchased this JVC Bluetooth Stereo and must say I love it! It was easy to install, has great sound, reception is very good, and changing colors is nice if your into that sort of thing. I'd challenge anyone to find a better buy at this price ($118), on a feature laden stereo like this. One thing that makes this stereo different than most at this time is the FRONT and REAR USB's. While one must hold the bluetooth adapter if your using that feature, the ability to route the included cable from the rear of the unit to whatever cubby you like for your device is great. While I have found I use my Iphone via the bluetooth, which works and sounds excellent, I like the option of conncting either 2 devices via bluetooth or via cord. Of course you also have the front standard input as well. The presest and customizable EQ with BASS BOOST and DYNAMIC setting is great. The only criticism I can find is that the buttons on the right side of the unit are pretty small, so if you have larger hands and want to navigate through radio station or songs, it can be difficult while driving. The bluetooth phone feature works very well and the display is cool in that it displays song titles, radio stations, callers names, etc. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and it paired well with Pioneer 6.5" TS-G1644R, which I will review seperately. Highly recommended!!!

First off, try and find a 5 channel Amp of any quality for $150.00...This Amp listed for around $600.00 on the Cadence web Site...It was selling for around $350.00 to $400.00...Now that its discontinued the price is $150.00...I compared this AMP to all other 5 channel amps and this Cadence was as good or better than most..It boasts 650 watts RMS but it is really 700 RMS at 4 ohms. This Amp will hook up to your OEM radio with the supplied plugs if needed..I hooked this Cadence F100-5 to a Pioneer 1400 Double din head unit...Memphis speakers in all four doors of my Chevy Silverado Crew cab then added a 12" Memphis sub under my rear seat....All I can say is that this Amp works this system without breaking a sweat and the sound is just incredible.

Jabra FREEWAY Bluetooth Speakerphone Packaging

I've owned many Jabra's: the SP700, Cruiser, Cruiser2 and now the Freeway. This is by far the best built and sounding of all the units yet.
My main reason for upgrading was the inclusion of the Auto On/Off feature. I always found that the power switches were way too small and I never was far enough away from my car for the bluetooth to disconnect; this was very annoying.
I've read that some people are having issues with the Freeway NOT turning off, but there's a reason for that and you need to understand how it works.

First off, the Motion Sensor in the Freeway is not the type of motion sensor is Sensor lights, etc., it's a vibration sensor.
When the power switch is in the ON position and the unit is asleep, opening the car door (or even shaking the car) will cause the unit to power on.

Unlike in the product video on the Jabra site, the Freeway does NOT turn off immediately when you exit your car. Instead, if there is no movement or sound activity for ~5+ minutes, the Freeway will turn OFF. ANY movement or sound through its speakers will reset the 5 minute count all over again.

Here's the problem some people will have with this: If you have a phone that makes noises when you use it, such as clicks when typing on the iPhone keyboard or locking the phone, these noises are sent to the Freeway if you are still connected to it and keep resetting the power-off timer - it will never power down if you are using your phone frequently!

At least on the iPhone, the quick way around this is to set the "iPhone" as the current playback device when you exit your car every time: Simply double-click the home button to bring up the Active Apps Bar, then swipe Right until you see the Volume Slider. If you are currently connected to the Jabra, you will also see a selector button to the Right of the volume slider. Tap the button and deselect the Freeway by tapping the "iPhone" selection. Now, all your clicks and noises are sent to the iPhone's speaker; the Jabra will power itself off in 5 minutes or so.

Rockford Fosgate Punch 1000 Watt Amplifier

I attached this amp to my box about 2 yrs ago. Bad move. Knocked two diodes loose. Easy fix tho, but when I took the motherboard out to fix them, I noticed something that u will never find on another brand amp. All the people at rockford who had something to do with this amp have their intials/nicknames/custom images on the motherboard. I never knew. This equals pride in one's workmanship and it SHOWS. I mean u wouldn't bring a prospect into the club unless u knew the dude was ligit cuz ur name is on him. This amp is mean. Hands down. One of, if not the best in it's class. I'm rocking 2 12'' Pioneer 3500 watt DVC's which require 1000 watts a piece to break in. Wired to 1 ohm. Not a problem. Underrated is an underrated term for this amp. More like lies. I get about a thousand watts at 2/3 gain. U will need a 150 amp fuse. 100 amp fuses pop like bubbles. I can bump this amp ALL DAY LONG and it does not fail. Gets warm, not hot. I've tried to heat it up. Couldn't do it. The amp is the truth, no, the gospel. Anyone who tells u different is lying. If ur serious about what u put in ur car, this amp is a perfect pick. I will see if i can post a pic of the motherboard with the rofo employees' marks. -- pics posted.

Infinity Kappa 693 9i speaker Electronics

I was using JBL GTO 937 in the rear parcel tray of my Suzuki Swift for the last 3.5 years and I have been thinking of upgrading it. My first choice was Polk MM691 and I auditioned it at one of the retailers. I did love the fact that it can get loud and clean, but I was not sure if it had the bass response I was looking for. It had very good mids , but not the deep and tight bass i wanted even tho the spec says an Overall Frequency Response 30-25kHz.
Anyways my search continued and I zeroed in on Infinity Kappa 693.9i, the frequency response didn't look any better 35 - 30k Hz , especially the bass end and the looks were also nothing to talk about. Anyways I got a quote lower than the Polk and I went for it, since Infinity is not any lesser brand.

Coupled with Pioneer GM-6400F amps, this not so good looking speakers gave me amazing response. The tweeters were harsh, but then I had these buttons to push them down by 3db to reduce the metallic tone it gave to the music. The mids were good and pleasing. The highlight to me is the bass, which is deep and tight, the music felt so much fuller with no fall off when it was sliding up the fret board. And the interesting part is that I downloaded test tones from [...]and the speakers responded to 30Hz test tone, below which it was not very audible. But I am surprised, when companies try to sell things claiming qualities which they don't really have, infinity have surpassed my expectation by actually putting out such low end performance than they have advertised on there site - [...]

I don't need a subwoofer as I am not the kinda guy who drive to show off that I got a great system inside my car, but I do enjoy music much more these days and look for opportunities to drive around. I just did a 1000KM run in 2 days, and I was the sole driver, for the reason that I can listen to music on my new Kappa 693.9i.

I listen to Ambient Electronic, Alternative Rock, Psyechedellic, Soft Rock... Metal and Hardrock sounded a little too harsh on these, maybe I need to find the right eq to tone down the metallic tweeters.

Pioneer GM-6400F 4 Way Amplifier 4x75W RMS at 2 Ohms.
JBL GTO 607c 6.5" 2 way Components with crossover, 2 Ohm impedance, 70W RMS .
Infinity Kappa 693.9i 3 Way Co-axials with crossover, 2 Ohm impedance, 110W RMS.

I know my amp is underpowered for the infinity kappa, but then its louder than I can stand at half the volume at which distortion kicks in.

Overall I am one happy owner!

Ok, so before I got any further this product works perfectly, I titled the review so that way people having an issue with this would look here first before thinking they wasted time and money (a few bucks not really a waste either way) on this product.

For those who have problems with the stereo spitting the tape out, not playing or switching back and forth between a and b sides over and over here's what you do.
Take a tiny screw driver, remove all six screws, four on the back, two on the front (this is how my model was built, sorry if yours is different) set it down on a flat surface and remove the rubber gasket covered cog. Remove the whole cog, leave the others there.
(Its the one closest to the silver head) rebuild, and play.
It works great, I have a virgin mobile optimus and I use mixzing to play my music because it actually has a built in equalizer and the app is free download it.
I also use this product to make my vehicle surround sound for whatever movie we're watching on the laptop.
Buy this product, you won't be disappointed.

I bought these speakers to go in my dad's 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix since the original ones had blown, quit working or the connections were terrible but these made a huge difference in the way the radio sounds. Once again, you can hear the songs all in the car rather than having to turn the volume way up to hear the radio and then not be able to hear anything else!

Left this out of my other reviews but these speakers are for the front and will fit the doors fine with no issues. The 6x9's I bought and reviewed are for the rear! Make sure you are ready to solder the connections when you install these so that you will have a perfect connection. Also, go online and find you a wiring diagram for your car so that you will know what is the + and - color cable your car uses from the factory..

The outside quality is adequate. The sound is full and balanced with a wide range. I didn't expect that the lows could be so strong and deep from such a tiny closed aluminum box (still cool with running for a long time, say one hour from my impression) costing only about $25 with shipping and handling charges. It's a miracle! When the volume is up to 2/3, there is still no discernable distortion. The 3.5mm input jack is extremely convenient for you to connect almost every audio source.

The only weakness to date is that there is a noise (not big though) when I shut down the power, even if I turn down the volume to zero.

In a word, this product is almost perfect for its purpose, especially when you take its size and price into account. If you need a simple and compact stereo, buy it ASAP, since the price could go up soon, and since you'll be most likely impressed.

I am upgrading from a sony str dh520 which is now in my bedroom because i wanted to try a .2 setup. I have a bic america f12 and a polk audio psw 505 with sony speakers from different hi fi systems and all these are powered by this reciever. the str dh520 was loud, consideering i had it at a constant volume 12 with only the f12 connected and it shook the house.......neighbours had beun to complain! The str dh740 is not necessarily loud but the sound quality is excellent. I have to pump it up to around volume 26 o get descent sound out of it but the quality of the sound is true surround sound. I love it. the on screen menu for the amp is a bonus too and the remote is easy to use. i like that this has the auto calibration mic but remember to reset the front speakers to small size so as to get lfe output from both subs. This is an inexpensive 7.2 system and i would recommend it to anyone out in the market for a good av reciever. the Sony STR-DA5800ES 9.2 is my next purchase, hopefully in a few years
